A curved backing minimizes sharp contact point and spreads the pressure more evenly. We have also ensured that this open metal vinyl record box has a thick shatter proof scratch resistant acrylic backing that is tall enough to support your precious album collection. The metal frame will hold the acrylic securely with tension. Our scratch proof acrylic is crystal clear. If you notice it being mirky, you most likely have not taken the protective layer off.
