Premium Organic Japanese Hojicha Roasted Green Tea Loose Leaf Hojicha green tea is made from selected leaves of Kukicha and Sencha green tea plants, which are then pan-roasted. Typically Japanese, Hojicha tea is smoky, aromatic and mild with a little sweetness. The organic tea leaves have a lower caffeine content than regular steamed green teas, and the roasted green tea has a pleasing golden color in the cup and a fragrant bouquet. Brew the perfect cup of Hojicha green tea – hot or cold Temperature, amount of leaf, type of water, and steep time are important factors you need to get right to make the perfect cup of hot Hojicha Japanese green tea. We recommend: Tea: 4g (0.14 oz. = 1 heaped tsp.), Water: 1 cup (200ml), Temperature: (95 - 100°C), Steep Time: 30 - 45 seconds. Hojicha Japanese tea can also be brewed cold.
