Flavacol sticks to the popcorn, whereas a ground salt will tend to fall off. Adding it to the oil as you pop improves the coverage without any fear of burning. This leaves a far better buttery taste than any other brand. This is the tried - and - true original popcorn salt! flavacol oil Making golden, organic, buttery, gourmet popcorn is easy with the Golden Barrel 32 oz. butter flavored coconut oil! Compared to standard white coconut oil, this product features a bright golden color, a delicious butter flavor, and fills the air with a delicious movie theater popcorn aroma. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not be alarmed if the Golden Barrel Coconut oil arrives as a liquid oil or with a white discoloration on the coconut oil. The product remains a solid when it’s cooler than 76 degrees, so don’t be alarmed if you open the jar to a liquid oil in warm heat. The coconut oil's quality does not change due to this. STEPS TO MAKING MOVIE THEATER POPCORN 1. Pour (or scoop) a few tablespoons of coconut oil into a large stove pan over medium-high heat. 2. Put 3 kernels of popcorn into oil and wait until they pop then pour the rest of the kernels into pan. 3. With a shaker, evenly distribute Flavacol Popcorn Salt on top of kernels. Use half a tablespoon for every 6 ounces of kernels. 4. Cover pan with lid, leaving lid open a crack to allow steam to escape. 5. Remove pan from heat after you hear less kernels being frequently popped and carefully pour popped kernels into a large bowl. 5. Apply topping oil if you'd like. 6. Enjoy
