Dacron wrapping is standard on any of our cushions and very much recommended. Dacron rounds out edges and fills in the fabric cover for a more aesthetic look. It also helps foam to slide into a fabric cover. Added batting to foam to create a cushion with a more plush, feel and experience.

Standard cushions are wrapped using a "book wrap" technique. It is called this because the dacron covers the foam in the same way a dust jacket covers a hardbound book. Only three sides of a cushion are covered.

Dacron Batting is wrapped on a high density 1.8-44ILD foam cushion ideal for furniture cushions, car cushions and all other home and commercial upholstery applications.

Note - You do not need to factor in a fibre wrap when calculating your dimensions, as the material is quite thin and easily compresses. Size listed is just the foam cushion size. Added dacron is just to enhance the appearance of your finished cushions, by creating a more rounded/plush effect and softening angular corners and edges. Having the foam cushion wrapped in fibre also makes it much easier to slide in and out of the cover.
