DO-IT-ALL CAMP KNIFE IN CARBON FIBER LionSTEEL’s M4 has earned a reputation as the fixed blade of choice for many outdoorsmen – this 3.7-inch fixed blade checks all the boxes. Made for real camp usage while maintaining a modern, and compact footprint. We’ve teamed up with these gnarly knife makers in Maniago, Italy to produce an M4 with Carbon Fiber scales for the very first time, pushing the lightweight specs to the absolute max. Offered in two different FatCarbon options: Dark Matter Green and Dark Matter Glow. Completing the package is an Italian made leather sheath for safe belt and pocket carry. FatCarbon FIRST – DARK MATTER GLOW The M4 is the first knife produced using FatCarbon’s new Dark Matter Glow carbon fiber composite. An understated black pearl look by day, these scales are infused with a glow in the dark pigment with a magnificent green luminescence that’s both eye-catching and practical – there’s no way to lose this knife around the campsite after the sun goes down. The glow in the dark pigment is charged by all visible and UV light (200~450nm is ideal). The afterglow intensity is strongest for the first 10 minutes (660 mcd/m2), dropping to 90 mcd/m2 after 60 minutes, and finally 5.5 mcd/m2 after 10 hours. The pigment is rated to produce a faint glow for up to 10 hours but results will vary based on the amount of light. CAMP SPECIFIC DESIGN ELEMENTS Most fixed blades are marketed as camp knives, but Moletta’s design has the specs and elements to back it up. On the spine of the blade around the transition of the handle, you find a small protrusion. So small you hardly notice it, but large enough to offer your thumb more grip. The butt of the knife features a sharp extended tang, perfect for striking a ferro rod. Lanyard hole and handsome double stitched leather sheath provide practical carry.
