About 2.5x36 Hydraulic Cylinder - Double Acting Welded

The Cross-Tube Style Welded Double Acting Hydraulic Cylinder is engineered to withstand pressures of up to 3500 PSI, making it suitable for various mobile equipment applications such as construction, transportation, agriculture, waste management, recycling, and material handling, among others. AMRAP Hydraulics' cylinders are designed to operate reliably in harsh environmental conditions, thanks to their sturdy welded construction, high-tensile welded steel end mounts, threaded glands, and premium seal components. Repairing and maintaining each cylinder is straightforward. Before packing and shipping, every cylinder undergoes pressure testing at 150 percent of its working pressure. The welded-in tubes offer additional adaptability for future modifications. A welded cross-tube hydraulic cylinder is a type of hydraulic cylinder used in various applications where linear force is required to move heavy loads. Here's a breakdown of its components and how it works: Cylinder Tube: The main body of the hydraulic cylinder is typically made of steel and is a cylindrical tube. It houses the other components of the cylinder and contains the hydraulic fluid under pressure. Cross Tube Ends: These are welded perpendicular to the cylinder tube at each end. They provide mounting points for the cylinder, allowing it to be attached to machinery or other structures. Piston: Inside the cylinder tube, there is a piston that divides the internal space into two chambers: the rod side and the cap side. The piston is sealed to the cylinder tube to prevent leakage of hydraulic fluid between the two chambers. Rod: Extending from one end of the cylinder is a rod, which is connected to the piston. The rod extends and retracts as hydraulic pressure is applied and released, respectively. Seals: Various seals are used throughout the cylinder to prevent leakage of hydraulic fluid. These seals are typically made of rubber or similar materials and are essential for the proper functioning of the cylinder. Hydraulic Fluid: The cylinder is filled with hydraulic fluid, typically oil. This fluid is pressurized to create force on the piston, which in turn moves the rod and any attached load. DESCRIPTION: INTENDED USE: Double Acting Applications PISTON: Ductile iron ASTM A536 65-45-12 for excellent durability PISTON LOCK NUT: Grade 8, high-tensile zinc-plated GLAND: Ductile iron ASTM A536 65-45-12 TUBE: Precision-honed steel TUBE SEAL: Nitrile O-ring with Polytemp hytrel back-up ROD: High tensile ground & polished hard chrome plated rod. ROD SEAL: Std poly pak with B lip design (polyurethane U-cup with nitrile O-ring expander) WIPER: Polyurethane. END MOUNTS: Cross-tubes PISTON ID SEAL: O-ring PISTON OD SEAL: Hallite 755 piston seal with wear ring PORTS: SAE O-Rings PAINT: Enamel Black Paint When hydraulic pressure is applied to one side of the piston, it creates a force imbalance, causing the piston to move along the cylinder tube. This movement is transferred to the rod, which extends or retracts depending on the direction of hydraulic pressure. The welded cross-tube ends provide stability and mounting points for the cylinder, ensuring it can withstand the forces generated during operation. Welded cross-tube hydraulic cylinders are commonly used in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, material handling equipment, and various other industrial applications where heavy lifting or pushing is required. They are favored for their durability, reliability, and relatively simple design.
