[Place a rag beneath the Oinker] - Chain lube is thin and pressurized, which can cause spray-through when applied to the bottom run of the chain. This happens because the dispenser’s exit holes partially direct lube onto the roller edges, and gaps between rollers allow some to pass through.

[Want zero-mess?] - Apply lube to the top of the rear sprocket. After one full rotation, keep spinning the wheel to let the thin lube seep between the link plates and into the roller edges.
