About World Of Harmony Music; Appalachian Spirit

This collection of 24 Appalachian folk songs was so much fun to write! For each song, I watched several different videos on YouTube so I’d get a good feel for each song. I think I’ll always remember the reaction of my sweet little blue parakeet, Gilly. He just sang his heart out so happily while I was watching those videos! He loved every minute of my research. I hope that playing these songs will bring that much happiness into your home, too. Just slip the sheet music right under the strings of your zither, pluck the strings in the order shown on the sheet music, and enjoy instant success as a musician! Some of the songs even have optional harmony notes or chords that you can play for a richer sound. If that sounds too tricky, just watch my videos and play right along with me. You’ll get the hang of it in no time. On YouTube, just search for "Debbie Center", plus the name of the song, plus "zither". The video should pop right up. Of course, you could always choose to just play the melody. This book is compatible with the following brands of zithers: Appalachian Spirit Folk Instruments, Music Maker, Melody Harp, T.K. O'Brien. Please note that First Act and Hape Happy Harps are narrower instruments. You could trim this book to fit those, but you may lose a note at the beginning or end of the song. For use with a Melody Harp, you'll need to tune both F strings to F sharp. Autographed copies can be requested only when ordering directly from World of Harmony Music. Here’s the song list: Angeline the Baker, Arkansas Traveler, Barlow Knife, The Blackest Crow, Cluck Old Hen, Cold Frosty Morning, Cripple Creek, Flop-Eared Mule, The Girl I Left Behind Me, John Stenson’s No. 2, Lorena, Old Joe Clark, Over the Waterfall, Pretty Saro, Sally Goodin, Seneca Square Dance, Shady Grove, Shenandoah, Soldier’s Joy, Spotted Pony, Turkey in the Straw, Valley Forge, Wayfaring Stranger, Whiskey Before Breakfast
