Fresenius USA Manufacturing, Inc. d/b/a TruBlu Logistics (Fresenius), is a subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care, which manufactures medical devices and operates kidney dialysis clinics throughout the United States. On January 25, 2010, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspected the Fresenius distribution warehouse in Birmingham, Alabama. OSHA had received a complaint about an employee who was shocked on January 13, 2010, while changing the battery for a forklift in the battery charging area. After OSHA’s inspection, Fresenius received serious and other-than-serious citations on March 12, 2010.
