The reason I like Cornell notes is because it is widely used in elementary to high school setting for note taking from lecture and reading texts. Cornell is a good way to organize main points and it also creates knowledge. By using this strategy, students can develop study skills that can lead to academic success. Student might use Cornell notes in college. This is a good way to prepare students to take good notes.. The benefits of using Cornell notes is that students can divide the piece of paper into two columns. On the left column goes the cue column. On the right column, is the notetaking column. Students can write on the right side of the paper such as, writing notes during lecture. A second benefit is writing questions to clarify meaning, these questions can help students for test taking later. Another benefit of notetaking is reflection. Students can reflect and ask questions by themselves. Lastly, another benefit is that students can review the previous notes.
