This Air-Flow Test Meter is for use with OS100 Powered Air-Purifying Respirators. The meter is inserted with the rubber flange side against the hose adapter. If the indicator ball rises above the line on the flow meter, indicating that the flow exceeds 170 liters per minute, the blower should be stopped by pressing the blower ON/OFF switch for a minimum of 3 seconds. If the flow meter ball does not rise above the line, DO NOT USE until the cause can be determined and corrected. Use of a PAPR with a low flow may result in illness or death. If the ball is below the line indicating low flow, the most probable causes are: Filter blockage by dust or water, in which case the filter should be replaced; Low battery voltage, resolved by recharging the battery. If changing the filter and/or recharging the battery pack does not restore normal airflow, DO NOT USE. Have the PAPR repaired by a factory repair center. Using a PAPR that is operating improperly may result in illness or death.
