Architectural Bronze Type CDA 385 (Copper Alloy No. C38500) is composed of 55-59 percent copper, 2.5-3.5 percent lead, and the balance in zinc. It machines well and can be polished to a rich color. It is used extensively in the marine industry and is used in investment grade architectural structures and ornamentation. Other uses include hinges, lock bodies, and trim. Common fabrication processes include hot forging, hot forming, bending and machining. Bronze is much harder than Brass and CDA 385 Bronze is Rockwell B 65 hardness.
