About the Author David Keller is managing director of the Camp Douglas Restoration Foundation and editor of its newsletter, Camp Douglas News. Mr. Keller's previous books are Military Prisons of the American Civil War: A Comparative Study, The Story of Camp Douglas: Chicago's Forgotten Civil War Prison and Robert Anderson Bagby: Civil War Diary (Annotated) 1863-1865. He has also published two studies on Civil War prison camps for the National Park Service, Andersonville National Site POW Research Program.
