There has never been a more spectacular merger of art and science. The Hubble Space Telescope is one of the greatest scientific and engineering achievements in the history of mankind. The images that astronomers have captured with this telescope are some of the world's most awe-inspiring artistic creations. These photographs span unimaginable distances and shed light on some of the great mysteries of the universe. Includes the dates of major astronomical events, including moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, meteor showers, and moon-planet conjunctions. This calendar includes 17 bonus images within the monthly grids. All images have been carefully prepared for printing by professional night photographer Grant Collier. The calendar is printed on thick paper with a varnish to prevent writing from showing through to the next month. A portion of all proceeds are donated to charities working to protect planet Earth.
