About Sound Shark Long-Range Microphone - Equalized XLR Kit
The Sound Shark is a great alternative to shotgun microphones. The Sound Shark's collector amplifies sound by focusing sound energy onto a single point. This allows the Sound Shark to zero in on your subject while rejecting unwanted ambient noise. This kit includes a custom lapel microphone built by Countryman Associates specifically for this product (with XLR connector), and wind cover to reduce wind noise even more than normal. The Sound Shark is provided with a flash shoe adapter so it can be mounted directly to your camera. You can also remove the adapter and mount the Sound Shark to any device, such as a tripod or light stand, with a 1/4-20 threaded stud. The Sound Shark is also available with a 3.5mm microphone (search for "Sound Shark Premium Microphone Kit") or with no microphone at all (search for "Sound Shark Microphone".) Our kits are recommended as the microphone has been proven to work well with the Sound Shark.
