Formulated specifically for pets, the active ingredient in Dr. Prescott'sTM Lanosterol eye drops is a naturally occurring biological compound found in mammals. Lanosterol is a building block of cholesterol and other lipid compounds, but has recently been shown to break up the protein aggregates responsible for clouding the eye lenses in some pets, aka cataracts.
