About HID OMNIKEY 5427ck Gen 2 - Smart Card Reader
The HID Omnikey 5427 CK (Gen2) Dual Frequency Smart Card Reader is a USB Contactless Reader which is impressively able to support both low and high frequency technology. This capability is particularly helpful if you are looking for an easy reader to integrate into your existing mixed technology environment. This reader operates by standard as a CCID Reader, but you can choose to select the 'keyboard wedge' mode. By doing this, data can be retrieved and inserted directly into applications or sent to other devices through use of keystroke emulation. When needed, you can access a user-friendly web-based management tool which enables browser-based configuration.Dedicated drivers and a configuration guide are also available for download, and you can even choose to access further developer tools on request from HID! Meeting both the ISO 14443 A/B and the ISO 15693 standards, you can be sure that this is a reliable choice of dual frequency smart card reader. Because of the 5427 CK (Gen2) Smart Card Readers ability to support both CCID and keyboard emulation frequency, it makes a great choice for a platform independent reader.
