About The Hunt For The Stolen Aston Martin DB5: Boca

The tow truck wheeled into the Boca Raton Airport unnoticed that night. There was only one security guard on duty, and the men in the truck knew he didn’t cover the north end of the airport on his rounds. It was after midnight when the truck driver swiped a card through a slot to open the entry gate to a row of storage bays on the north side. The truck rolled through and stopped at bay No. 11. The men in the truck, wearing coveralls and dark caps, went to work on the bay door with cool efficiency. They stripped off the rubber molding, sawed off a latch and, after raising the door, cut the wires to the alarm system on the south side of the bay. Then they went to work loading the car onto the truck. The security guard noticed the lights go off at the north-end hangars around 1 a.m., but that didn't concern him. The lights always went out when airplanes activated the runway lights. After they loaded the car, the men jumped into the truck and took off, carrying a charcoal silver 1963 Aston Martin DB5 with wire wheels, sunroof and license plates that read BMT 216A.
