1 pound bag of 100% Eleuthero Root, organic, cut. The cut root pieces are between approximately 2-4 inches long, and very irregularly shaped. Eleuthero is also commonly known as Siberian Ginseng. Please know it is NOT the same as the Panax Ginsengs. The botanical name is Eleutherococcus Senticosus; Radix. The Pin Yin name is You Ji Wu Jia Shen Cha Sui. Eleuthero root has been used as medicine amongst Native Americans and the peoples of China and Korea for thousands of years. The herb is traditionally used as preventative medicine, but has exceptional therapeutic benefits for several medical conditions. It is commonly popular for boosting and regulating energy production. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is used as an herb that Tonifies the Qi. It benefits the organs that affect Qi energy, may calm the spirit, and invigorates the blood. It enters the Spleen, Heart, and Kidney channels. Eleuthero root is listed as one of the main core protocol herbs in Stephen Buhner's book, Healing Lyme.
