Italian Borlotti Cranberry Beans | 1.1lb Features

  • CHARACTERISTICS. Italian Borlotti Beans, also known as Cranberry Beans, are one of the most valuable variety of beans cultivated in Italy, in an area able to count on a capillary natural irrigation network that makes the ground fresh, drained and fertile. This characteristic, together with the typical climate of the region, give these beans a thin, tender skin and an intense but delicate taste.

  • HOW TO USE. Borlotti Beans are the traditional ingredient for soups, for vegetable and grain soups (excellent combined with spelt) and for the classic "pasta with beans". Ideal for fresh salads and for tasty veloutes as well. Borlotti Beans also make an excellent side dish for meat and fish.

  • HOW TO COOK. Soak the beans for 8/10 hours. Rinse and cook for 1 hour and half, depending on the desired consistency. Salt at the end of cooking.

  • HOW TO STORE. Store in a cool dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
