The Thermo Scientific Orion Star A324 portable meter displays pH, ISE (ion selective electrode), and mV readings plus temperature on the large, backlit LCD display for water, waste water, food and beverage, research, and QA/QC laboratory applications. Electrode status, time, date, sample ID, user ID, and calibration points are also displayed with the measurements. The meter is designed for ease of use and reduced training requirements, with clear screen prompts, updateable soft keys, and an interface that supports English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese. A pre-programmed auto-read function is available to lock stable readings on the screen, with an indicator alert that signals when the reading is stable. The meter can also be set for timed readings that gather data at specific time intervals. Non-volatile memory holds up to 5,000 data points with time and date stamp. Updates for meter software and complimentary data analysis software are available for download. pH calibration is available up to five points, with automatic recognition for USA/NIST and DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) buffers. ISE calibration is available up to five points, with advanced features that include timed end point, linear point-to-point, non-linear selectable auto-blank and low-concentration range stability. Errors can be fixed without a complete recalibration by using the calibration editing function.
