About SunGrow Aquarium Filter Tube

To keep our fish healthy and happy means having regular aquarium maintenance. If you are someone who owns a canister filter, clearing out the hoses from clogging materials is one of the tasks you need to constantly perform. Aquarium Filter Tubing Scrubber by SunGrow can assist you to do this routine effectively. It has brushes on both ends that are soft and bristly on a 61" (155 cm) length highly flexible stainless-steel spring. This can help you to get far down into the tubes. It can even go through tight spaces and even u-shaped pipes smoothly. How to Use: Preparation: First, remember to switch the power off. Disconnect filter from power outlet and put the intake and outtake valves in off position. This will ensure that water remains unaffected as you perform the task. Soak tubes in warm water for about 15-30 minutes to loosen stuff a bit. This will make things scrubbing a little easier. You should also be prepared with floor mats and rubber gloves because it can get messy during the actual activity. Tube Maintenance: Push the brush into the tube then pull the spring back and forth until it leaves no visible residue. Should there be hardened sludge, it is recommended that you first run hot water through it for a while to soften it up. This is ideal for clearing out filters, water pump, connectors and hard to reach places. SunGrow Pro-Tip: You can mix mild lotion and water then rinse the pipe using the brush in gentle and slow motion. Do not use aggressive force. Once done, leave the hoses out to dry for about two to three hours before reattaching your canister filter system the same way you removed them. Plug everything back up.
