Each plant reaches a mature height of 16 to 20 inches tall and spreads 8 to 12 inches wide. Bellflower Superba is grown as a perennial flowering plant, meaning it will establish a deep root system. The plants will wilt during the frost, later returning the following year. Bellflower Superba is known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden. These include many various butterflies & caterpillars, as well as bumblebees, ladybugs and hummingbirds as well. It can be used as a cut flower in many bouquets and floral arrangements and is also popularly used as a groundcover plant because of its short growth habit.
