This curved wave brush is a medium hard with extra long bristles. For reference, this brush is not as hard as the TP450 but it is still firm (firmer than the TP550) and can tackle any stage of your wolf. The TP1620 is great for cuts 2.5 and up. With the extra long bristles, you get an insane grip and pull on your waves. This brush is not for fresh cuts.

The thing about Torino Pro medium hard curved brushes is that no two brushes are the same and they all have a unique firmness, some more than others based on a waver's preferences. Brush King has medium hards like the TP450, TP570, TP600, TP970, TP1620 and the TP1670 that are softer than this one (the TP1670 is only a tad softer).
