  • RELIABLE INFRARED SENSOR - TOPENS TC102 Photo Eye Beam Sensor is a photoelectric sensor that uses infrared light to detect the presence or absence of objects. It creates a safety barrier that identifies any movement between the emitter and receiver. Once the infrared beam is blocked, it perfectly makes the gate stop or reverse automatically. It is strongly recommended to use the TC102 IR beam sensor with automatic gate opener system to ensure multiple protection & security.

  • CLEVER DESIGN - The infrared photocell sensor consists of two components: an emitter and a receiver. The emitter is designed to generate an infrared light beam. The receiver is used to detect any interruptions. This non-contact sensing technology provides high detection accuracy with a fast response. In addition, the infrared beam sensor is immune to strong light interference, such as sunlight and vehicle headlights. Weather resistant for all seasons of the year.

  • WIDE COMPATIBILITY - Works with all the TOPENS gate openers, and compatible with most third party swing / sliding gate opener or garage door opener whose control board accepts “Normal Open or Normal Close Dry Contact” signal. It can be powered by the control board of the gate opener or by the external 12-24VDC or 12-24VAC power source. This security infrared sensor is commonly used for the household, courtyard, farm, ranch, warehouse and other commercial / industrial sites.

  • EASY DIY INSTALLTION - Connect both the receiver and the emitter to the gate opener system. It is suggested to mount the photocell sensor at least 8" (20cm) above the ground. Power on to determine the emitter position. The photocell status LED turns off indicating that the beam is aligned. Fix the emitter position when the status LED goes off. Ensure that there is no obstruction between the receiver and the emitter during alignment.

About TOPENS TC102 Safety Photocell Infrared Beam Sensor

Kindly Note If the gate operator system is only solar powered, and the beam sensor is powered by the gate opener system during both working and standby modes, please add 30W solar panels or more and upgrade the battery capacity (NOT incl.) to at least 17 Ah or higher to meet the power consumption. Please refer to the corresponding TOPENS gate opener user manual for the correct wire connection. Connect the emitter to the gate operator system or receiver with a 2C x 22 AWG cable. Connect the receiver to the gate operator system with a 4C x 22 AWG cable. Cables are required but NOT included. It is suggested to put the cables in the PVC conduit to protect the wiring, and bury the PVC conduit underground. Generally, the distance between the sensor and the control board should be within 65 feet (20m). Sensing range may be affected in extreme weather conditions, such as blizzard, rainstorm, sandstorm etc. It is highly recommended to install the emitter 10 feet (3m) to 46 feet (14m) away from the receiver. One TC102 photocell sensor can only work for one gate operator, while one gate operator can connect two TC102 security sensors at most.
