The kit allows you to rekey all your locks to one, pre-cut key. Note: This kit is not designed to re-key locks to any other existing key, but rather only to the pre-cut keys included with each kit. The re-keying kit works for Kwikset brand locks, 5-pin style. Each kit includes 3 pre-cut keys, pins, special tools and a simple-to-follow instruction insert. It makes the re-keying process so easy, even a novice can do it. Note: Rekeying kit requires original key to lock being rekeyed as part of the re-keying process. From the Manufacturer This re-keying kit is for use with Kwikset 5-pin door locksets. It includes pre-cut keys, pin tumblers, special tools and instructions that will allow a novice to re-key up to 6 locks. This kit makes it simple to re-key all your locks to one key.
