The clips will work on blocks, brick, wood, stucco, vinyl, etc as long as you have a window casing that provides 2+ inches of space between the window and outside wall. The clips need enough room to grab the casing and hold the wood in place. Installing the Clips Place the clips on each plywood cover (if the window is 24”x24” or smaller, only two clips are needed). - Each clip should be placed on the edge of the plywood cover no more than 24 inches apart. - Make sure the tension legs are facing towards you. Push the plywood covers with the clip tension legs to the outside firmly into the casing. Clips work as well in round windows as they do in rectangular windows. For additional stability - use small screw or nail to keep the clips in place when installing it to a board. Or you can use a pliers to tighten the opening of the clip to make it more secure.
