About The Ninja Mind: Harnessing The Mental Strength And

Product Description Enter the mind of one of ninjutsu's most renowned teachers and start your journey towards martial arts mastery! Masters in the Japanese martial art of Ninjutsu are legendary for their ability to access seemingly endless amounts of pure strength and mental endurance to achieve their goals. The Ninja Mind documents Ninjutsu black belt Kevin Casey's journey toward mastery under the tutelage of Stephen K. Hayes, Black Belt Hall of Fame member and the "Father of American Ninjutsu." Casey vividly describes his successes and setbacks studying with his famous teacher—as well as his growing interest in the Ninja art of kuji-no-ho, the most esoteric of traditional Ninja practices. Combined with determination and discipline, Casey's techniques and exercises will guide you to acquire and cultivate a true ninja's power. Exercises such as 'The Unbendable Arm' and 'Manifesting Power' will develop your physical strength, while 'Walking as the Hero' will hone the mindset necessary to overcome any challenge, no matter how suddenly it arises. Chapters in this ninjutsu guide include: The Nine Powers The Secrets Told Physical Strength Mental Strength Spirit Strength Negative Emotions Review "Martial arts-centered books tend to slant in one of two directions: either the spiritual side of things (which makes many of them read like self-help books), or the physical side (which turns them into a how-to manual for instructional use). Casey manages to combine both sides in The Ninja Mind, along with a generous through line of personal narrative." — Jenn Zuko Boughn, author of Stage Combat; blogger at Bonzuko (Daily-Cross Swords) "The subtitle of this new book [ … ] lets you know what Kevin Keitoshi Casey set out to do when he wrote it. The author focuses on less-obvious facets of the art such as physical strength, mental strength, spirit strength and negative emotions." — Black Belt Magazine "The journey towards grasping the needed lessons will not be easy; it will not be comfortable or quick … but it is worth it. We'd like to show you how." — From the foreword by Stephen K. Hayes "…most with an open mind will find Casey's story and narrative provocative. Casey's book is more than conjecture, and, in many ways speaks to the heart of the origin of the ninja myths." — Tallahassee Writers Association About the Author Kevin Casey became a student under Stephen K. Hayes in 1998, eventually receiving his To-Shin Do warrior name Keitoshi with his san-dan third-degree black belt in 2007. Casey co-founded his own dojo, the Boulder Quest Center in Boulder, CO. Stephen K. Hayes was the first American to be accepted as a student by Masaaki Hatsumi, the 34th master of the Togakure-ryu Ninjutsu tradition. He is a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame and the founder of To-Shin Do, a mind and body self-protection system. He is the author of The Ninja and Their Secret Fighting Art and Ninja Defense. Hayes currently lives in Dayton, Ohio.
