Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) is a water-based balanced salt solution commonly used for a variety of applications in research and manufacturing, including reagent preparation, dilution, and cell culture. It contains sodium chloride, potassium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. The buffer helps to maintain a constant pH. This product does not contain calcium or magnesium. Instruction for use: Dissolve100 grams product in ~900 mL distilled or deionized water, and then dilute to 1 L to yield 1 L of 10X PBS solution at pH ~6.8. pH will be around 7.4 after diluted to 1XPBS. Or dissolve100 grams in 10 L of distilled or deionized water to yield 10 L of 1X PBS solution at ~pH 7.4, containing 137 mM sodium chloride, 2.7 mM potassium chloride, 10 mM sodium phosphate, and 1.8 mM potassium phosphate. Usage Statement: Intended for laboratory or manufacturing use only. Not for drug, food, or household use. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.
