About CarbonPrep RNA Extraction Kit For Viral Transport

CarbonPrep is an RNA extraction technology using semiconductor grade graphene rather than silica as the solid-phase extraction surface. Carbon has a unique interaction with single stranded nucleic acids resulting in dramatically higher RNA purity. The carbon is conformally coated on a magnetic bead for easy bench top or automated workflows. With CarbonPrep there is no need for carrier RNA or DNase treatment which damages RNA and dilutes samples.
