About Eagle 1704 Blow-Molded High Density Polyethylene
The Eagle 1704 blow-molded, high-density polyethylene column protector helps prevent damage to structural columns and beams in warehouses, factories, parking lots, and other industrial settings from impacts of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other vehicles. The blow-molded, high-density polyethylene construction can absorb an impact of a 3,000-lb. forklift moving 5 mph to minimize personnel injuries, and reduce damage to a column or beam and warehouse equipment. The protector fits around both round and square columns 4-6" in diameter, and its two interlocking halves are secured with nylon straps for tool-free installation. The column protector can be stacked to extend a column's protection vertically, weighs 16 lb., and measures 42 x 13 x 13 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) Column protectors, or column guards, help prevent damage to columns, beams, posts, walls, pipes, building corners, and other structures from impacts with vehicles in factories, warehouses, and parking lots. They are typically made of polyethylene or stainless steel, and may or may not require tools for installation. Column protectors are available in a variety of shapes and dimensions to match the requirements of the application.
