Note: Our new formulations is a 100% polymer based material, just like the membrane manufacturer's own product.It easily beats fiberglass mesh tape for this application due to it's better flexibility and ease of use.Nova-Fiber is a thin, flexible non-woven fabric designed for use with any brand of latex based waterproofing membranes used in bathrooms and showers. The fabric is used to reinforce areas of weakness such as: Inside and outside corners of showersSeams between tile backer boards Hairline Cracks in the substrate Around Shower Niches Transitions between different materialsNote: This product is not meant to be embedded directly into thinset with a joint knife. After applying the liquid waterproofing to the substrate with a brush, you press the Nova-Fiber into it, and brush on another coat on top. Once the membrane dries, then you can apply thinset over it and attach the tiles.
