Her current position is coordinator for the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Connecticut School of Nursing. She has published and presented at the local, regional, national, and international levels. Dr. Bellini also serves as a reviewer for several journals and is a member of the editorial advisory board for Nursing for Women's Health, an Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses journal. Dr. Bellini has 28 years of neonatal nursing experience at both the staff and advanced practice levels. Her current joint-appointment position incorporates 20% full-time equivalent (FTE) in clinical practice as an NNP at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Bellini is also a certified regional trainer for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and a lead instructor for the STABLE Transport Program. Michele J. Beaulieu, DNP, ARNP, NNP-BC, is a neonatal nurse practitioner at Johns Hopkins/All Children's Hospital. She is also an author and educator. Dr. Beaulieu graduated with her doctor of nursing (DNP) degree from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to her full-time neonatal practice, Dr. Beaulieu has been the column editor for ";Pointers in Practical Pharmacology" in Neonatal Network: The Journal of Neonatal Nursing, author and expert reviewer of various peer-reviewed manuscripts and books, and is the coinvestigator for several research studies. Her research interests include perinatal safety, extremely low-birth-weight infants, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and the management of high-risk newborns in the delivery room. Dr. Beaulieu has developed and taught clinical and online courses for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, including those at the University of Connecticut.
