About Master Lock Cinch Sack

The Master Lock cinch sack lockout is a ripstop nylon bag with a cinch strap with six locking holes to temporarily prohibit access to oddly shaped or oversized electrical connections or controls, and provide the ability to require multiple authorizations to allow access to one locked out device. The neck of the bag is tightened when the lockout's cinch strap (or drawstring) is pulled out from its casing through a sleeve with six holes. The strap has six metal grommets which, when the strap is cinched tight, align with the holes in the sleeve. A padlock (sold separately) placed through any of these holes obstructs the cinch strap from being loosened, thereby prohibiting the bag from being opened. The ripstop nylon bag provides the flexibility to cover various devices, resists abrasion, and folds up for compact storage. A warning printed on the bag reads, "Locked Out Do Not Remove" in English, French, and Spanish. This lockout is for use as part of a lockout-tagout (LO/TO) safety procedure required at facilities where a device or energy source needs multiple-person authorization to be accessed safely. When used according to manufacturer's recommendations, this product is covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. Lockout-tagout (LO/TO) safety procedures, as defined by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), require that lockout devices be durable and standardized. Lockout devices use color, warning labels or tags, and a physical barrier to temporarily prohibit machine operation or power activation, and reduce accidents, during maintenance or repair. Lockout cinch sacks consist of a bag, some form of drawstring, and a lockable hasp to help prevent the drawstring from being loosened to open the bag. The flexible shape of the bag allows use in a wide variety of applications, including temporarily prohibiting the operation of hoist controls. Master Lock manufactures padlocks, combination locks, and related security products. The company, founded in 1921, is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI.
