If you use this paint cover for horizontal sidewall fire sprinkler head, please make the fire head to be recessed into escutcheon, otherwise it may not fit. This paint cover only attaches to metal trim ring & escutcheon, not attaches sprinkler head itself. If the sprinkler head is not with trim ring & escutcheon, or the trim ring & escutcheon is made of plastic, then this paint cover would not work.
