The dies have a capability of making UL Listed connections on copper connectors ranging from #8 AWG - 500 kcmil when used in conjunction with the associated Burndy Tools and YA and YS type connectors.

All Burndy dies emboss the Burndy B and die index number when crimped. This allows for enhanced inspection capability enabling users to easily confirm that the correct Burndy die was matched with the correct Burndy connector, making a UL Listed or ANSI certified connection. This is a key feature of the Burndy Engineered System.
