STEP 1: Identify the size of wire you want to crimp. And strip the wire to the proper length. STEP 2: Select the right size wire ferrule. The ferrule should be the same size as the wire. And the length of wire should not exceed the length of wire ferrule. STEP 3: Insert the stripped wire end into the ferrule terminal. Crimp the ferrule assembly with your crimping tool. STEP 4: Test the quality of the crimp. Do a pull or tug test on the crimp to make sure it is tight and will not come off.
