About Primatech 550AL, 18GA Flooring Nailer, Expert Series
The Primatech EXPERT Pneumatic 550 nailer is designed for the installation of 3/8" to 3/4" Solid or Engineered hardwood floors, including many of the Bamboo and other Exotic species. It uses Primatech 18gage L nails available in lengths of 1-3/4", 1-1/2" and 1-1/4" (120 nail capacity). Tools in the EXPERT-series are Primpact Powered for greater speed and precision. Its striking cap design enables the operator to get closer to the end wall than any other tool. The Primpact modular assembly allows easy access to all components; where a broken driver can be replaced on-site within 60 seconds. The 550 fully adjustable base plate first sets against the front of the tongue, reducing the risk of damaging the top edge of the flooring. Its cam mechanism provides infinite adjustment to precisely position the nail into the nail pocket of the board.
