EPDM is an all-purpose, synthetic rubber made for applications that especially demand all-weather capabilities. Compared to other types of rubber, EPDM is particularly resistant to chemicals and weather-related hazards. For example, EPDM has very high resistances to UV-radiation, impacts, and abrasion. Outdoor applications, such as industrial projects, often rely on EPDM for its weather-resistant properties. This black EPDM-sheet-rubber ranges in durometer from 55 to 65 Shore A. Generally, this EPDM-rubber sheet has a durometer of 60 Shore A. This durometer is high enough to make the EPDM-rubber sheets structurally robust—yet low enough to ensure that the EPDM material remains highly flexible and stretchable. In fact, this EPDM-rubber sheeting has a minimum elongation of 300%! This EPDM product is available in different thicknesses and sizes. This black EPDM is offered in the following gauges: 1/32”, 1/16”, 3/32”, 1/8”, 3/16”, ¼”, 3/8”, ½” and ¾”. Each thickness is available in many different sizes.
