The last day of the ghetto of Vilna (Vilnius) was the day the little gill, named Shaindele Kaminsky was murdered.In this part of the trilogy, named: "Bamishmeret" (On Guard), Shaindele was brought to a convent, by her mother and uncle, in an attempt to save her. She was just a child, clever and talent one, as her uncle kept telling her. She could write a poem. She shered the poem with a girl her age, far away from Vilna, whom she never got to meet. As I told you – Shaindele was killed in the last day of the ghetto. I know her by listening her uncle's story.
