Once you remove two small Torx screws, the trim panel pops loose along the bottom edge and flexes just enough to give access to the latch. Remove two triple-square bolts, an electrical connector, and the old part slides right out. Reverse to install the new part. Easy-peasy. You do need special wrenches to remove the 2 bolts holding the latch, Triple Square Spline, the M8 size. Its not a typical 6 pointed torx, but a 12 pointed star pattern. There's a useful video on how to remove the plastic panels to access the latch. Search for "VW TIGUAN TRUNK DOOR trims removal" Please Check your part number and our fitment before placing order.
