Evans and Ernie Tailors Clapper - Hardwood Seam Features

  • Your beechwood clapper helps to beat or 'clap' the steam into the fabric, leaving a neat edge or flattened crisp seam.

  • This durable unfinished piece of beechwood is easy to use. By pressing with the clapper after steam ironing it absorbs the steam and traps the heat in the fabric.

  • Your hardwood seam presser is a flat block of beechwood that is often rounded on the ends with routed grooves along the sides for an easier grip.

  • Included in this offer is an ironing protection cloth with dimensions of 23.6" x 15.7"

  • Your seam flattener (9.4" x 2.4" x 1.9") helps to set a seam as well as press and flatten fabric.

About Evans And Ernie Tailors Clapper - Hardwood Seam

Evans and Ernie Tailors Clapper - Complete with Ironing Protection Cloth How Does it Work? Tailors Clappers are made out of hardwood only. In order for it to do the job, the wood has to be heavy and close grained. Your beechwood clapper absorbs the steam and then traps the heat inside of your fabric instead of setting it free into the air. Your fabric needs the right combination of hot to cold, steamy to dry in order to make a perfectly flat seam. Easy to Use To use, simply press the seam with your steam iron. Then lift your iron and press the tailor's clapper on the seam until the area is fully cool. If you lift it too soon the Evans and Ernie Tailors clapper will not work its magic! Multi - Use Your seam flattening tool can be used to get flat, crisp seams and creases. You can use it for sewing, quilting, embroidery and for setting seams. Your clapper can be used to flatten tucks, collars, cuffs, hems and pant pleats. Ironing Protection Cloth Included in this deal is a washable compact polyester reusable ironing protection cloth that helps prevent the iron from directly touching your fabric. It also protects it from shine and scorching. This cloth can also save the iron from scratches from zippers and metal buttons. Comfortabe Unfinished Hardwood Both sides of your hardwood seam presser has grooved sides to offer easy handling and a comfortable grip. It is unfinished to better absorb steam and has sanded rounded edges so there are no sharp edges to snag your fabrics on. What's Included? - 1x Tailors Clapper - 1x Ironing Protection Cloth
