The book also contains an appendix containing the basic simplified badminton rules. About the Author Dr. Gong Chen is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology at San Jose State University. Dr. Chen teaches all levels of badminton classes at San Jose State University and coaches the San Jose State University badminton club, which has won many collegiate championships in Northern California. Dr. Chen has directed and been an instructor at San Jose State University badminton summer camps since 2001. Carol Chen is an assistant coach at Lynbrook High School (San Jose, CA). She is a student of Dr. Li Lingwei, coach Yuan Wang, and coach Cania Zhang. Chen played on Lynbrook High School s badminton team and won many tournament titles in women s singles and doubles. She was a Central Coast Section player.
