About Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 Weatherized Battery-Powered
Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 is a weatherized, battery-powered loudspeaker that features Bluetooth audio and control. With an IP43 rating, it is ready to play, rain or shine. The speaker provides 400W of power, doing so in a relatively lightweight, 16.8 lb package. With its 8" woofer and 1" titanium tweeter, the speaker delivers between 65 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB) at a maximum SPL of 121 dB. On the rear, you'll find a pair of combo XLR-1/4" inputs for microphone or line-level signals as well as a 3.5mm aux input. A Bluetooth receiver allows you to stream audio from your favorite portable device. A free Bluetooth app provides wireless access to factory voicings, compression, EQ, and effects, allowing you to dial in your best sound from anywhere in the room. Pole-mount it into a subwoofer or speaker stand for a DJ set or lay it horizontal on the floor of a stage, where it can serve as a wedge for musicians as they perform. It also can be used as a kickback monitor for added versatility. Core components include an 8” woofer mounted using EV’s patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) port design, and a high-output titanium tweeter mounted onto a custom constant-directivity waveguide. EVERSE 8 is powered by a custom-designed high-capacity Li-ion battery pack, fully optimized for audio use and providing plentiful power for up to 12 hours of run time. Protection circuitry reduces the risk of the battery discharging to such a low voltage that it can no longer be recharged. In combination with the rugged polypropylene enclosure, use of the included weatherized input cover allows EVERSE 8 to meet the IP43 rating (water resistant for splashes & light rain) when running on battery power and while Bluetooth streaming.
