The Mitutoyo Series 547 ABSOLUTE Digimatic LCD Depth Gauges, Indicator Type, Inch/Metric, depending on the model, have a measurement range of 0 to 8" (0 to 200mm), a stroke (or travel distance of the indicator) of 0.5", and a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of either 0.0005" (0.01mm) with + or - 0.001" of accuracy, or 0.00005" (0.001mm) with + or - 0.0003" of accuracy. The LCD screen displays in both inches and metric, and can keep track of the origin point for the life of the battery (about 3.5 years under normal use). The gauges come with four measuring extension rods for flexibility. The bases of the units (either 2.5" or 4"long) are hardened, ground, and lapped for durability and accuracy. The units support Mitutoyo's data output signal (SPC Output) for devices. Optional SPC cables for use with Mitutoyo devices and extension rods are sold separately.
