About Mitutoyo 570-227 LCD Absolute Digimatic Height

The Mitutoyo 570-227 LCD Absolute Digimatic height gauge displays a metric measurement range of 0 to 200 mm, an LCD digital readout precise to 0.01 mm, with + or - 0.03 mm of accuracy, and data output to transmit results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer for statistical process control (SPC). The height gauge is compact and weighs approximately 3 lbs/1.4 kg, and is suitable for scribing while held against a vertical base or for measuring small objects in the field. This height gauge has an electronic microprocessor providing the ability to preset a reference height at any position, as well as set a temporary zero position and return to a true zero reading. The output port transmits results to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or computer through an interface cable (not included) for statistical process control (SPC). An electrostatic capacitance linear encoder helps prevent overspeed errors to help ensure repeatable, precise measurement. The scriber, used to mark a position on a workpiece, is 25 mm x 47 mm (H x L), carbide-tipped for hardness and to help prolong life, and is held to the gauge by a screw clamp for fastening ease. A calibrated screw mechanism supports fine, uniform slider adjustments. The grip-base helps hold the unit in position by hand. The unit comes with an SR44 battery. Height gauges, also called gages, are precision measuring instruments that travel on a vertical column (also called the beam) to measure and/or mark the vertical distance from the base of an object in fine units. The vertical position of the gauge and its attached pointer are changed by turning a calibrated screw, or one or more feed wheels. Recorded rotations are read from a scale, a dial, counters, and/or an electronic display. A screw clamp holds the pointer to the gauge. The pointer is typically sharpened to act as a scriber, and can be used to mark position on a workpiece by scratching its surface. On compatible units, the scriber may be replaced by an electronic touch-signal probe. Height gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering. Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.What’s in the Box?Mitutoyo 570-227 Absolute Digimatic Height GaugeSR44 Battery
