measuring instrument for the Pendulum Friction Coefficient Meter The pendulum skid resistance tester used for measuring road surface frictional properties. This apparatus come with an adjustable pendulum arm and a spring loaded rubber slider mounted on the end of the arm. The pendulum skid resistance tester is raised and allowed to swing freely during operation, allowing the edge of the rubber slider to skid across the surface of specimen. The pendulum skid resistance tester is released from a horizontal position so that it strikes the sample surface with a constantvelocity. The distance traveled by the head after striking the sample is determined by the friction of the sample surface. A reading of Skid Resistance is obtained.
