MWM has been involved in creative arts his entire life with a vast and diverse collection of original artistic endeavors spanning from unique custom surfboard art to designing, building, and racing vintage hot rods and motorcycles, to founding the counter culture lifestyle brand Hot Rod Surf, to authoring books and magazine articles. MWM has also recorded and produced full length original rock and roll albums with his band The Green Leaf, and has successfully produced and directed independent art movies about vintage hot rods. MWM was one of the first pinstriping artist to bring the technique of the art form to the masses through how to books and movies about the previously mysterious and esoteric art of automotive pinstriping. MWM set a land speed world record at Bonneville on one of his Harley race motorcycles he outfitted with a custom turbo charging system. Mark Whitney Mehran is a graduate of Cate School and Brown University with an honors degree in English and American Literature. MWM works out of his studio in his hometown of San Diego, CA.
