About High Island/Oil Field Road
In 2011, three years after Hurricane Ike scoured the Bolivar Peninsula a visit to the narrow land strip separating Galveston Bay from the Gulf Mexico inspired a series of thirteen prints. The prints divisions are based on the quadrants used for geological survey maps and cartographic elements are mixed with imagery associated with the area.
