About Fish Out Of Water: An Undersea Coloring Book

Product Description Fish Out of Water: An Undersea Coloring Book features a collection of 23 fish and sea life images inspired by the drawings Carole Markin created for a series of whimsical and fanciful 3-D aquariums. This led to an 8-foot backlit piece called "Fish Out of Water," installed in the lobby of Orthopedic Hospital for Children in Los Angeles. This piece was funded by a prestigious grant from the Cultural Affairs Department of the City of Los Angeles for public art works. These underwater creatures have personality - such as distinctive eyes and sly smiles - and are spirited, whimsical, inviting, free and fun. Be imaginative when you fill in the fish, seaweed and backgrounds. You don't need to stay within the lines. Have fun! You are swimming in an undersea, dream world. Review I have tested the images in this book on over 90 males and females ranging in age from 17-89 during several phases of the process. The people live in different cities such as Chicago, New York, Martha's Vineyard, Madison, Wisconsin, San Francisco, Jackson Hole, Washington D.C., West Palm Beach, Florida and Los Angeles. Many are transplants from other states and countries. The testers were multi-ethnic: white, African American, Latino, Asian and mixed race. Some were artistic; others were not. But my latest fan is an adorable, enthusiastic, 18 month old girl from San Francisco. The testers work in a variety of professional that include: college and high school students and teachers, authors, screenwriters and directors, lawyers, physical therapists, doctors and dentists, artists, photographers, marketing professionals, graphic designers, journalists, businessman and entrepreneurs, stay-at-home moms, music and ESL teachers, one accountant, two plumbers and three workers at Kinko's, who told me how much they liked them without my asking for feedback.Their reactions were overwhelmingly positive. All testers said they wanted to buy copies for themselves and for their friends and relatives to give as gifts as soon as I have the book available on the web. Therapists offered to put them in their waiting rooms. Testers have reached out wantimng to send the book to their friends to cheer them up during the shelter at home restrictions of the virus.
